I have become a Pinterest addict!!! I don't know why, but I can spend hours looking over all the interesting things that people pin on just about any topic. I like repinning cute/interesting ideas, even though I don't usually make or do any of them.
Then I came across a cute idea for quick and easy strawberry fudge. Strawberry fudge???? I thought, this one is too easy not to give it a whirl. So at the grocery this weekend, I bought a tub of strawberry icing and a bag of white chocolate chips. I melted the chips and stirred it into the can of icing, spread it out into a light oiled pan and stuck it in the fridge. After about an hour, I went thru all of my cookie cutters and found a small heart and BAM, cute heart shaped, bite size pieces of Valentines Day fudge!!!
My next goal is to make the homemade Peeps recipe I found.....

Benched!
Well the teenage girl has been benched from running!!! This is a very BIG!! She has either shin splints or a stress fracture. The orthopedic doctor will see us back next week to either release her to run or cast her leg and get an MRI to get a definite diagnosis. She has gone absolutely stir crazy, driving me crazy with her! I totally understand her feeling, since I was unable to run for almost the entire summer due to some low iron issues.
The doctor said it was a combo of increased mileage and a growth spurt. She has grown 3 inches and gained 12 pounds since June 2011. This is a big spurt for her since she is 13 and just now reached 5' and still weighs less than 90 pounds. Oh to be young and fit!!!
Well say a little prayer and hope that she can return to her passion in life soon!!

Photography
I really want to be a photographer when I grow up. I have always loved taking pictures, more so since I had kids. I have albums and album and albums of pictures that date back over 25 years when I learned I liked taking pictures. After I got my first digital camera, I was a little saddened because you have the surprise of going to get the film developed and seeing how the pictures turned out. Now you see the pictures as you take them and can delete them if you are please with them....no more surprises :(
For Christmas, I asked for a new camera. Ask and I received. I was given a really nice digital camera with the capability of changing lenses for better pictures. So as the the first snow fell today for the year, out came the camera and I went clicking away. Of course, I was able to delete most of the pictures I took, but I saved a few that I thought were really good.
Here are a couple of my favorites:

Long time no write....
Well it's been a long time since I posted on my blog. A lot has happened since then. My teenagers are wearing me thin (Literally I wish). Let see what has happened....
My teenage girl has now become a teenage girl. She acts like she believes in Santa, but I don't think she does, then again she went to the mall and was going to sit on his lap, but we waited for a while because he was on break and after 30 minutes she decided to leave. She doesn't want to grow up and become a teenager, which means acting her age! I was out shopping at the mall the other day and bought her some "adult" looking undies and she refuses to try them on, let alone wear them. She has admitted she does not want to grow up!!! She is growing physically though. She is now 5' and weighs 85 pounds!!! We had to punish her for telling us she was going to a friends house which she never showed up and we found her at another friends house.....1 week of NOTHING!!! She said her friends think I am mean because they have never gotten on "restriction"! Life goes on.....
My teenage boy now drives and got a car for Christmas. He seems to be a safe driver and I worry, but not as much as I thought I would. He drives me crazy when he and his father argue, he come running to me and complains. What is a Mom to do? He has become a social butterfly over the last several months. This is something I never thought would happen, but he has not brought his friends home to meet us. I told him the next time they go out, the friends come here so I can see who he is going out with. He is afraid I will embarrass him, I wouldn't do that ;)

Crafty Christmas!
My last post was about a wreath I wanted to make for my home, so I went for it. I went to Hobby Lobby to buy my supplies and begin the wreath making. Unfortunately, they did not have the boa's I was looking for so in mid shopping I switched gears and put what little creativity I have in my brain to work and reworked the look of the wreath in my mind. This is the result:

I am actually pleased with the outcome. It is red instead of white, but that is OK. It meant I didn't need to buy the accessories that I wanted, I just used what I had around the house! GO ME!!!
Now I am thinking about making another one for my living room...I have a new glue gun and I am not afraid to use it, well maybe a little ;)
