Candy Corn Addiction!

So with Halloween coming up next month, all I am noticing in the candy isles at the stores is CANDY CORN!!!! It is an addiction, no really, an addiction. It all started when some mean person introduced me to candy corn and peanuts!! Taste just like a Payday candy bar. That began the downfall of my addiction. I have now tried the other "shaped" candy corns (ie. pumpkins, etc), but they are not the same. Now they have come out with caramel candy corn, cinnamon candy corn, cherry candy corn but none of them compare to the original.

Since I started "Pinning", a friend posted a new possible addiction with candy corn and I felt the urge to share it with you:

Candy Corn Bark
adapted from allrecipes
Ingredients
10 Halloween-colored chocolate sandwich cookies, chopped (I used regular Oreos)
3/4 cup broken small pretzel sticks
12 ounce bag of white chocolate chips
1 cup candy corn
orange and brown sprinkles

Method
1. Line an 8×8 baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Spread the cookies and pretzels in the bottom of the pan.
3. Melt chocolate in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water, or in the microwave, stirring frequently until melted. Remove from the heat while there are still a few chunks, and stir until smooth. White chocolate burns easily.
4. Drizzle chocolate with a spoon over the goodies in the pan, spreading the top flat to coat evenly.
5. Top with candy corn and sprinkles. Let cool until firm. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.

I am in soooo much trouble when I break down and make this for the first time. Then again, I do have 2 teenagers in the house so I may or may not get to taste the first batch. You can bet your bretches that I will be sinking my teeth into the second!
HAPPY CANDY CORNING!!
